Cyber Essentials helps guard your business from the most common cyber threats and demonstrate the commitment you have towards cyber security. It is a certification program focused on basic cyber security controls that was created by the UK government’s National Cyber Security Centre and the Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME) consortium.
IASME Certification Bodies are accredited companies authorised to assess organisations against cybersecurity standards, including IASME Cyber Assurance. These bodies evaluate whether an organisation meets the required criteria and, if successful, issue the relevant certification.
We were the first cybersecurity firm in Cambridge to become an approved body for auditing organisations and issuing Cyber Essentials certifications. Leveraging our extensive knowledge and experience, we can fully manage your certification process or simply act as your certification body. Once you have met all the requirements, we conduct a thorough audit of your IT environment and on meeting the standards issue your Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
As an IASME Certification Body, we are authorised to assess and certify organisations against a range of cyber security standards, including Cyber Essentials and IASME Cyber Assurance. Our experienced assessors work closely with businesses of all sizes to help them improve their security posture and demonstrate compliance with industry-recognised frameworks.
IASME is one of the five Cyber Essentials Partner Bodies appointed by the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It manages and delivers the Cyber Essentials and IASME Cyber Assurance schemes to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats and meet data protection and regulatory requirements.
We are qualified to assess and certify against the following IASME standards:
• Cyber Essentials – A Government-backed certification designed to help organisations guard against the most common cyber threats.
• Cyber Essentials Plus – An enhanced version of Cyber Essentials, which includes hands-on technical verification and testing.
• IASME Cyber Assurance – A more comprehensive, risk-based standard that includes data protection, staff awareness, and incident response.
Without suitable protection, on average, organisations take over 200 days to detect and contain a data breach, which dramatically increases recovery costs.
Of data breaches are due to human mistakes, often through users that have not had cyber awareness training with attacks such as phishing or social engineering. Many of these are avoidable.
